Modledkey is the driver for your keyboard that identifies when CAPS, Numlock or Scroll Lock are turned on/off.

It seems to be nothing more than an on screen notification of when Caps Lock, Num Lock or Scroll Lock is turned on and nothing more. Removing this file did not harm my computer. This file seems to be useless other than the visual aid I mentioned.

Mine shows it: c:\Program Files (x86)Hewlett Packard\HP MAINSTREAM KEYBOARD, but I no longer have a HP keyboard.
