I have suddenly started to see this error msg on my HP 8600 it reads as follows: AccelerometerSt.exe was unable to start correctlu (0xc000007b) should I be worried
it is part of the hp3d drive guardifyou have an error pop up about it uninstall and reinstall if needed i uninstalled mine when it happened when the error for AccelerometerSt.exe unable to start correctly then i went to reinstall and it was there it reinstalled it by itself

I did not locate this executable in my Windows folder. It was located in Programs (x86) in an HP sub-directory. All AV scans confirmed it was not a threat.

Locks up Hard Drive if you drop your Laptop to insure no files are corrupt on the hard drive. So that if you need a new laptop you have your files.
Uninstall HP 3D DriveGuard then reinstall.
An interesting data protection feature by HP. Looks like does not work in Win 10 platform. Can't make it work after Win 10 upgrade :(
Successfully udated my HP ENVY j121na to CU 2 ays this message after restart "AccelerometerSt.exe - System Error. The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not founf. Reinstalling the progran may fix his problem"... this did not happen on other non-HP PCs. Searched web and noted it was a HP problem... the culprit being HP 3D DriveGuard. So uninstalled the existing and reinstalled with sp71811... same problem. Now uninstalled sp71811... all works fine.. will remain so unstall HP sorts it out...
Turned on my HP Envy laptop running win 10 os. After it took some time updating itself automatically,I got the message: " the code execution cannot proceed because VCruntime140.dllwas not found. Reinstalling the program May fix this problem.
